How to Set Up Kia Connect

Setting up Kia Connect only takes a few minutes. You can just follow these steps below to get your Kia ready to go:

1. Head to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and search for “Kia Connect.” Download and install the app on your smartphone. Alternatively, you can navigate to the Kia Owner’s Portal to get started.
2. Next, open the app and either log in with your existing Kia account or create a new one. You’ll need a valid email address and a password.
3. Once logged in, follow the prompts to add your vehicle using your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
4. After pairing, you’ll be asked to activate services from your vehicle’s dashboard. Simply click “Activate Kia Connect” to enable its features.
5. That’s it! You’re connected. Now, you can take a few minutes to play around with the app settings and features.

Key Features of Kia Connect

Remote Climate Control

Through the Kia Connect app, you can remotely start your Kia and preset your desired cabin temperature. Moreover, depending on your vehicle’s features, you can also separately control the front, side, and rear window defrosters, as well as the heated steering wheel. The next time you use remote start, your Kia will automatically adjust to your saved settings, which makes sure the cabin is pre-warmed or cooled as soon as you get inside.

Digital Key

Ever wonder if you locked your Kia’s doors after walking away? With Kia Connect’s Digital Key feature, you don’t have to worry anymore. The app lets you see whether or not your car doors are locked, and if you spot they’re unlocked, you can lock them remotely. Moreover, the Digital Key allows you to share access with family and friends through the app, so they can lock, unlock, or even start the engine without needing a physical keyfob.

Find My Car

With the Find My Car feature, you can locate your Kia on a map right from your phone, which makes it easy to navigate back in large parking areas. To use it, simply open the Kia Connect app, tap Find My Car on the Start Page, and enter your 4-digit PIN. The app will instantly display your vehicle’s location and show how far you are from it.
